Who is Mrs. Rubin???
Before I began my teaching career I worked for Fox Sports Network in Ad Sales. After a year in Ad Sales I knew it was not for me so my grandfather suggested I look into teaching. Eleven years later and here I am :). I started teaching over ten years ago in Queens, New York. I taught special education for over 8 years. as well as Literacy Through Music and Art, in New York. The past two years I taught 5th grade in Wake County. My objective as a teacher has always been to provide students with the opportunity to learn, imagine, explore and create. I believe when students study topics that are relevant to their own lives and that of their community, there is an intrinsic motivation to learn and succeed.
